Is the “live” requirement waived for 2022?

Yes

No.
Half of the required credits for LPP’s will need to be done in-person.

Q:
What are the credit requirements for the two-year MCLE cycle?
A:

Your MCLE requirement is 24 hours of Utah approved CLE, to include 3 hours of legal ethics, one of the 3 need to be in professionalism/civility.

Q:
What are the credit requirements for the one-year MCLE cycle?
A:

Your CLE requirement is 12 hours of Utah approved CLE, to include 1 hour of legal ethics and 1 hour of professionalism/civility.

How can I find out what MCLE cycle I am in?

You can find this information in your Practice Portal

Q:
When do I need to comply?
A:

Every year on or before June 30 the credits must be completed. Compliance paperwork and filing fee must be paid by July 30.

Why do I have (R) Rejected credits?
A:

If you attended a Utah State Bar ZOOM meeting via telephone and wish to obtain CLE credit, please email cle@utahbar.org and confirm your name, bar number, the title and date of the meeting, and the telephone number used to dial-in. If this is not the issue, please call 801-297-2052.

No. LPP’s do not qualify to use a Comity Certificate.

No. LPP’s do not qualify to use credits from another jurisdiction.

Q:
Why are some of my credits ‘blank’ on the MCLE report on the Practice Portal?
A:

The data base we use had a glitch in it, showing credits that were not approved, but showed in the drop-down report as “blank” credits. Please refer to the PDF transcript. It is a more accurate report and hides the non-approved credits.
